St Anne’s House is a stunning early-18th-century building located in the heart of historic Lewes. Recognised for its elegance and heritage, the house is officially listed as Grade II*, marking it as a key piece of local architectural history. With its classic brick façade, decorative cornice bands and iconic Ionic column porch, it is a building that perfectly blends heritage with modern business use.
The origins of St Anne’s House date back to at least 1719, when it was associated with owner John Apsley, who may have rebuilt the house at that time. Over the centuries it has been home to prominent residents — from legal professionals to merchants and civic figures — and even served as accommodation for judges attending court in Lewes.
Later in its life, after changing hands through the Victorian era and beyond, the property transitioned from a private residence into a commercial hub for local enterprises. Today it houses a variety of professional services — and now proudly includes DAF Consulting among its occupants.
